Practical Information On Attend
We are always entertaining the most effective manner in which to educate on-line regarding ADD/ADHD. I thought it would be beneficial to discuss the most recent questions that I receive on the subject when I am out in the community or doing a seminar or lecture. The following is a compilation of the most commonly asked questions.
Attend Hand Book
This week we thought we would stay close to home and cover some practical information on Attend. Those who take the Attend or have children who take the Attend typically ask the same set of questions. “Does Attend work for Adults?” “How can I get my child to swallow a capsule?” “Will it cause hyperactivity?” “Are there any side effects?” “Can it be taken along with other ADD/ADHD medications?” “What is in the Attend Strategy Pack?” “How long before I will see results?” and “What is a loading dose?”
Attend Questions and Answers
Does Attend work for Adults?”
Yes. Simply adjust the dosages accordingly.
Adults: Take 2-4 capsules daily or as directed by a physician. Begin with a loading dosage of 3 capsules twice daily for 30-45 days or as directed by a physician.
“How can I get my child to swallow a capsule?”
There are a few ways to accomplish this challenging feat. You can actually train your child to swallow a capsule by having them put the capsule (one at a time) in their mouths with a mouth full of water, then having them put their head between their knees and swallowing. Gravity actually helps by pulling the capsule to the back of the throat making it easy to swallow. You may need to make a game with this, in order to get your child to participate. If you cannot get your child to try, then the capsules can be opened and put in a little bit of peanut butter, applesauce, or honey. Another idea is sprinkle the Attend over the top of a protein shake and then have them drink it off of the top with a straw.
“Will it cause hyperactivity?”
No. The Attend is meant to combat hyperactivity by getting to the root of the problem. Children and Adults alike become hyperactive because there are not enough neurotransmitters in the brain and information as well as surrounding stimuli can not be processed quick enough. So in order to cope they bounce from one idea or activity to another. Attend strengthens current neurotransmitter connections and stimulates the growth of new ones, helping information and stimuli to flow freely. One important note about the Attend product is not to take it too close to bedtime. It should be taken 4-5 hours prior to going to sleep. It is not that it causes them to be hyperactive, but that it makes them intensely focused.
“Are there any side effects?”
No. There are no known side effects associated with Attend. A typical response from parents who have had their children on prescription medication in the past but switched to Attend is, “I have my child back!” Known side effects associated with pharmaceutical ADD/ADHD medications are weight loss, facial tics, suicidal thoughts, increased teenage drug use and even cardiovascular events. It is very important if you plan to switch from a pharmaceutical medication to Attend to first speak to your physician. He or she needs to help you gradually wean you or your child off of the prescription medicine. There could be adverse withdrawal effects.
“Can it be taken along with other ADD/ADHD medications?”
Yes. You can start the Attend while taking other ADD/ADHD pharmaceutical medications. If you are using it along side another supplement product, be cautious of over doing it with some nutrients. It is possible to take too much of a good thing. Typically Attend does the trick all by its self and no other supplements are needed.
“What is in the Attend Strategy Pack?”
The Attend Strategy Pack contains one bottle each of Attend, Memorin and Extress. Some adults or children need a little more than the Attend. If you have seen a positive change while taking the Attend by itself but still need a little more attention to detail, a little more help with the memory. Memorin helps to do the trick. It has some of the same ingredients of Attend, but it is not quite as comprehensive, so you are not getting too much of one ingredient. When dealing with hyperactivity the Extress really helps. Extress helps to diminish emotional sensitivity and mood swings, calm and focus attention and more! You can start off with Attend, go through the loading period and then see if you need to add any complementary products or you can start off with the Attend Strategy Pack and then after the loading period taper down one of the complementary products, if your progress starts to slow down then you know the complementary products were needed. If there is a desperate situation (i.e. work difficulties, behavioral problems or relationship issues) then it is recommended to start off with the Attend Strategy Pack.
“How long before I will see results?”
How quickly you see results will depend on a multitude of factors: how nutritionally sound the person is; how severe the ADD/ADHD is; and how diligent they are with taking the product. Some have noticed a difference within two weeks, some have taken a full two months and some never noticed a difference until they stopped taking the product. The Attend is a very successful product. It is a “life changer.” We are very confident in the product, so confident we offer a 1-YEAR MONEY BACK GUARANTEE. Do yourself or you loved one a favor and stay with the product through the full loading dose.
“What is a loading dose?”
All nutritional products take a little longer to work than most pharmaceuticals. Attend is no different. Most people with ADD/ADHD have some nutritional deficiencies so the Attend first works to replenish the “nutritional shelves.” Also, Attend has a very serious job ahead of it. Keep in mind; it is stimulating the growth of new neurons in the brain. This may take some time, but it is well worth the wait! The loading dose is for when someone is starting off on the Attend product and also during times of added stress. These times could be during an increased workload at a job, college or school; when students are returning from a long break; when there have been changes in curriculum, with teachers or the addition of a recreational sport; during exam time; etc. After the ADD/ADHD individual has adjusted to the change or increased workload they should return to the maintenance dosage of Attend.
